FAQ

Common Questions

Is it really free? +
Yes, 100% free. Open training is our way of giving back to the Aledo community and giving every player a chance to experience ASC coaching. There are no hidden fees, no equipment requirements beyond basic gear, and no commitment.
What skill level is this for? +
All levels are welcome. Sessions are split by age group (Academy for U6-U10, Select for U11-U16), and our coaches adapt drills for different ability levels within each group. Players outside the U6-U16 range can still register — we'll capture your info and reach out about programs suited to your age group. Whether your child is trying soccer for the first time or preparing for a competitive season, everyone benefits.
What should my child bring? +
Water bottle (hydration is critical in Texas summer heat), soccer cleats or athletic shoes, shin guards, and comfortable athletic clothing. We provide soccer balls and training bibs. Sunscreen is also highly recommended.
What is the rain/weather policy? +
Sessions will be cancelled in the event of lightning, severe weather warnings, or dangerous heat conditions. If a session is cancelled, we will send an email notification to all registered families by 3:00 PM that day. Cancelled sessions are not rescheduled, but you can attend any of the remaining sessions during the month.
Do I have to attend every session? +
No. Select the weeks that work for your family. Within a selected week, your child can attend any or all four days (Monday-Thursday). There is no penalty for missing a day. Just show up when you can.
